Sant Angelo, reloaded, 2009

Installation, slide projections and video
This installation, made during an artist’s residency in Venice, Italy, is based on the recording of a historic conversation in the early 1960s between major figures involved with the Minimalist movement: Donald Judd, Frank Stella and Dan Flavin. The work consists of four parts: a fictional film scenario, a scale model 1:100 of the central location (a palace in Venice) that also functions as a spatial setting for a multi-media narration including slide projections, original sound fragments and a ten-minute video of the mooring and departing of the vaporetto’s on the Grand Canal.
